Well, the Brass Fall from the Fairlight II sample library I purchased isn’t quite right (I wanted the Fairlight III version apparently?) but it’s really, really close. I can work with this.
Going to sit down and learn Blender.
Also learning Logic X. I intend to return to music at some point, but I’m dealing with some personal stuff right now and it’s… difficult.
I composed something in my head at work and it was awesome and I forgot it when I got home and just remembered I did that now and can’t remember it.
Posted for Marathon Fan Week, 2013. This is a cover of a track called Leela which was composed by Alex Seropian in 1994. The original version is taken from a 1994 computer game entitled Marathon. The game demo was released November 23rd, 1994. The finished game was released December 21st, 1994.
2:45 a.m. Monday morning. Have to have a fully finished one by tonight. But this is listenable and will do.
(Tumblr has had a bug all week which won’t let me post SoundCloud audio and they only now are addressing it, so a link has to suffice because there’s no time.)
Not dead, just… stuck. Musically I’m stuck.
Energy levels are extremely low and I just…
Emotionally I’m kind of a wreck but that’s for some other blog.
Sorry for disappearing.
So, last night I had inspiration to do a song (yet another variant of Shifter’s Leitmotif with the Changeling one prominent and going less one theme and more an end credits medley with everything) annnnnnnd then I forgot it, put it off, and now can’t remember what I’m doing with it. It’s more difficult than it looks, and I don’t know if I have access to the sort of instruments I want to use. :\
Anyway, that’s how that’s going.
